Background:
Fred was raised in Dayton, Ohio. He became a Christian at the age of 15 and felt a calling into the ministry later that same year through an experience of prayer. Fred graduated from High School in 1954, received a BA degree from Georgetown College in 1959, and an MDiv degree from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1964. Fred and his wife, Annalu, have three grown children.

Experience:
Fred served as a church starter and pastor from 1954 to 1978, pastoring churches in Ohio and Kentucky. Appointed by the Home Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, he served as a Director of Missions in Wisconsin (1978-1984), and in north central Ohio (1984-1987). He then served as the Missions Department Director of the State Convention of Baptists in Ohio from 1987 to 1994. Fred took an early retirement from the State Convention staff in 1995 to begin a new ministry working with churches and pastors/wives in personal growth and development.

Fred has taken the qualification training provided by the Association for Psychological Type (APT) and is certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. He has worked with pastors in financial planning since 1982 and has conducted over 70 seminars in churches and organizations. He has led seminars in personal goal setting over the past 10 years and worked with pastors in personal growth and disciplines for many years.

Interest:
Fred has a "burning in his heart" to see people breaking free of negative attitudes and habits, developing new positive growth habits, and making progress in becoming all that God has planned for them to be.
