And Jesus grew in wisdom (mentally / self-management) and stature (physically),
and in favor with God (spiritually) and man (socially).

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Seminar
(Understanding and accepting who you are)

This is designed to help an individual be affirmed in his or her natural preferences in four areas of life.

  • Energy flow - outward toward people and things with an extroverted preference; inward
toward ideas and concepts with an introverted preference.
  • How we gather information - through sensing (five senses) or through intuition.
  • How we make decisions - through logic or through values.
  • How we live our outward life - through planning and structure or through understanding and flexibility.

This study not only helps us to see our own God-given uniqueness but also helps us to understand people whom the Lord has gifted in different ways. It has the potential to free people to be themselves, and to develop their best potential. It can give us a new appreciation for the differences in our own families.

Unlike many studies, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator does not have a good and bad connotation but
deals with natural strengths and preferences as God-given gifts. They are all good but they are not all the same.

Although the type indicator can be very helpful to an individual, there are many dynamics in life and a person cannot be contained within any "type" in a restrictive way. Each person has characteristics of all of the types and uses them as they are needed. But each person will also have natural tendencies and their greatest potential can be achieved by developing these.

Personal Goal Setting Seminar
(Charting the course of becoming)

Change Begins in the Mind
Goals focus our thinking on our purpose and direction. We are in a continuous state of becoming and our dominant thoughts set the course. "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." Light waves going in every direction illuminate an area; light waves brought together, activated and focused become a powerful laser that can cut through steel or perform delicate surgeries. Our thoughts tend to run in many different directions and that has value as light has value. But when we focus our thoughts, there is great power for change. Romans 12:2 says "Don't be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind..." We change when our thinking changes.

Stewardship
Our goals need to be in tune with the Will of God for us, for within that Will we have great freedom. One of the major concepts of the Bible is that of stewardship. Stewardship is talking about management. Management is the planning and doing of things that will cause the desired results. Stewardship also involves responsibility and accountability. Making excuses and blaming is a denial of responsibility.

Vision
Seeing accurately where we are, knowing where we are going, developing the strategies to get there, getting started, and sticking to it is what stewardship and goal setting are all about.

Time
When we see how God has provided for growth and change and how He works in our life, the past becomes our school, the present becomes our workplace, and we face the future with anticipation.

Personal Financial Planning Seminar

Mindset
This seminar challenges our mindset that our problem is "out there". This mindset expresses itself in thoughts like:
- they don't pay me enough
- things cost too much
- if I just had more money it would solve my problems
- I don't know where my money goes
- taxes are too high
If the problem is "out there", we can't do much about it. If we can change our thinking to see that the problem is a management issue, we can start to make a difference right away.

Inspiration
This seminar provides information and inspiration to give hope for financial freedom.
You don't have to have a lot of money to have a good financial plan!

How To
This seminar addresses:
• Getting out of debt
• Budgeting & Implementation
• The effect of inflation & taxes
• The type of insurance needed
• Having a financial plan & strategy
• Investment instructions for short and long term financial goals

Classon's law says our necessities of life will always expand to equal our income. The Bible says it like this: "When goods increase, they are increased that eat them... " Ecclesiastes 5:11
This seminar will teach you how to live inside your means and be a good steward of what God has given you.

Time, Stress, & Physical Fitness Seminar

Time
Time can't be managed, it is fixed. All we can do is put more value in our time. This is done by the God-given privilege of controlling our thoughts, choices, and actions. We can't always choose our circumstances, but we can choose our responses. We can have goals that give direction to our decisions and actions and help us to make the most of the time we have.

Stress
Stress is a necessary part of life. There would be little development in the spiritual, physical, social, or mental aspects of our life without stress. What is destructive in our life is not "stress" but rather "distress". Distress is generally a symptom of feeling out of control in some area of life.

Physical Fitness
Physical fitness is an important part of self-management affecting all of the other aspects of life. The life disciplines are so inner related that neglect of one will make some difference in all. A person doesn't need to go to extremes in any area but rather to seek a good balance for healthy life development.
